Eternus Global Company LTD’s Managing Director, Dr. Marie Gabrielle L. Bedia, has been chosen as one of the participants in the first debut of the Alibaba Netpreneur Training Program in the Philippines.
The program was exclusively organized by Alibaba Business School to bring together digital entrepreneurs and business leaders and discuss how to use and sustain digital technology to positively improve the local economy. This program is being supported by QBO Innovation Hub, the country’s first public-private partnership platform for local startups, and regional venture capital firm Gobi Partners via their Gobi-Core Philippine Fund.
The training is part of the Alibaba Global Initiatives, which is also responsible for the eFounders Fellowship program. This program provides first-hand exposure to ecommerce and digital innovations, access to business leaders across Alibaba and China, as well as an opportunity to connect with like-minded, leading entrepreneurs in your region. The fellowship is a community of passionate and successful “Champions for the New Economy” looking to inspire and create a more inclusive development model for all.
Furthermore, the program welcomes founders, co-founders, CEO or business owners of an officially registered venture that has been in operation for at least 2 years, who are “passionate about progress in their home country and willing to explore long-term solutions for developing the digital economy; curious, pragmatic, and willing to adapt to the capabilities of new technology in their home countries and tap into the global market; committed to building strong businesses for lasting success, but also to creating communities that enable experience sharing and others to succeed; and either looking to transform their businesses digitally or providing solutions, services or training to enable digital transformation.” Dr. Bedia of Eternus Global was one of the applicants who were accepted into the program.

The Netpreneur Training Program aims to provide entrepreneurs and business leaders with practical and actionable strategies to help them develop in the digital economy Based on Alibaba’s entrepreneurship journey. Participants who have completed the course will be invited to join the Alibaba Global Initiatives Community, where they will have access to additional information and activities, such as webinars and newsletters.
Also, outstanding participants with a distinctive outcome from their online participation and completion of assignments/projects will take part in offline immersion programs at the Alibaba Headquarters in Hangzhou, China, once the travel restrictions are lifted.
